Grades K-12

All Allen ISD kindergartners take Phase I (ability) testing in December; those who meet criteria take Phase II (achievement test, creative and critical thinking task, parent and teacher inventories) in the spring. For grades 1-11, parents register for optional GT testing in Skyward (September 22 - October 21, 2026); Phase I is an online ability test in November-December. The bar is the 97th age percentile on ability and the 97th percentile on achievement. Students within three points (94th-96th) can ask for an Alternative Review within ten days of Phase I results.
