Gifted and Talented (General Intellectual Abilities)

Grades K-12

Frisco ISD identifies for a general intellectual abilities program using multiple measures: parent and teacher input, nationally normed ability and achievement tests, and academic performance. A parent must submit the referral during the grade's referral window, once per school year. Abilities test scores from district-wide testing are used to screen 1st, 3rd and 5th graders, and campus G/T teachers contact students who met the score criteria. The district does not use private testing.
