Gifted and Talented (G/T)

Grades K-12

Garland ISD considers all students for gifted services beginning in kindergarten, so parents do not need to apply. Each January, district staff pull testing data for all students and recruit those who meet the initial criteria; with parent approval, campus G/T teams evaluate them. Students are identified as academically gifted in math/science and/or ELAR/social studies. A separate Art/Music Talented program (grades 1-7) takes applications.
