Oxnard tests all 2nd graders for GATE with Raven's Coloured Progressive Matrices during a district-wide window (parents may opt out). Students in grades 3-8 must be referred by a teacher, parent or administrator, with signed permission, and take Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices. Results are mailed in the spring.
